As summer vacations wind down and a new school year begins, a lot has been happening in the El Toro NonProfit and El Toro Judo Club world.

Our athletes have been traveling, training, and competing, and we continue to be incredibly proud of the work they are putting in on and off the mat. Judah Harris has had an especially exciting season, earning Pan-American Gold as a member of USA Judo’s Cadet Team and continuing to compete among the best young judoka in the world. With international competition again around the corner, national events, and team travel continuing, these opportunities bring both tremendous pride and significant expense.

Across the world, athletes are already training with their sights set on 2028. Here at El Toro, our immediate focus is on giving our team every opportunity to continue competing through the balance of this year—gaining experience, improving, and preparing for what comes next.

At the same time, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause the El Toro Fall Bash for 2026.

To every sponsor, volunteer, golfer, donor, business, and supporter who helped make the Fall Bash such an important part of our story—thank you. Your generosity over the years has helped athletes, veterans, families, students, and members of our community in ways that extend far beyond one fundraising event.

While the golf event is taking a break, our mission is not.

We are actively seeking support right now to help cover the real, ongoing costs of athlete development—travel, lodging, tournament entry fees, training expenses, and equipment that make it possible for our athletes to compete at regional, national, and international events.

If you would like to help immediately, there are several meaningful ways to get involved:

● Make a one-time donation to directly support athlete travel and competition costs

● Become a monthly supporter to provide consistent funding for training and development

● Sponsor an athlete’s trip or season and help cover the cost of getting them to the mat

● Share our mission with others who may want to invest in youth and veteran athletes

Every contribution—large or small—goes directly toward keeping our athletes on the road, on the mat, and in the fight for their goals.

There is still a great deal ahead for Team El Toro in 2026, and we cannot do it without our community standing with us.

Thank you for 15 years of believing in what we do, supporting our athletes, and being part of the El Toro family.

Together, we build stronger lives. 🥋
